a piece of me: Smoking teens...
a piece of me: Smoking teens...: It has come to my attention through the words of my ex-wife My daughter's now a smoker and that's the end of her life Or is it just a phas...
Smoking teens...
It has come to my attention through the words of my ex-wife
My daughter's now a smoker and that's the end of her life
Or is it just a phase because all of her friends smoke too
Will she be so clever or smoke like me and you
We have all lit up around her, made rollies and some spliffs
It's not like this transition was 15 years too swift
She's admitted that she tried it but said it tasted disgusting
She said the only place for them is scrunched-up in a dustbin
But recently I've noticed, tell-tale little fellows
Like the over-use of chewing gum and her tongue is always yellow
Who am I to say 'Don't do it or you won't go to heaven'
I started smoking young, in fact I was eleven
I want to be responsible, tell her that's it's bad
On the other hand; I don't want to be a tough dad
I hope that she can see the errors of her ways
Smoking WILL KILL YOU or at least shorten your days
It's not cool and it's not clever, it's a bloody expensive tool
To hammer down those nails for all of us smoking fools
But hey, it's just a choice we think we can make ourselves
Our peers who smoke around us don't care for no-one else
So pass me another rollie whilst I tell you that it's bad
Please don't smoke my darling
I love you
Always
Dad
