Missing

It's a birthday missed because of the brandy and pills
A life less in this world without his wordsmith skills
A story untold, a song unsung, a rhyme without reason
A cloudy summer, a rainy holiday, a day that's passed it's season
He couldn't bare to be alone but too scared to be here
In a world full of pain where nobody could hear
We listened to stories, heard what was said
But no one else could live in his head
Nobody saw the pain he was in
Except for us few, the few he let in
We couldn't help him but at least we were there
To show that we loved him, to show that we cared
It was your birthday today, a day like the others
But I miss you so much, my missing soul brother
So I will keep you inside my memory so clear
And wish you happy birthday for another year

Broken

Tally

A little heart stopping moment, when your child walks out from behind a parked car, directly into the path of a mountain bike and rider.
That moment when you realise, you really can't watch them all of the time and they never really listen to us at all, do they?
A moment that will run through our minds over and over but to no avail, we can't change what's happened and they probably won't ever learn from it
They still won't listen too us but they will be a little bit more cautious by the roads now, I guess

These pictures were taken a week ago, 10 weeks after the accident and still he's not too keen on walking yet but we are working on it
It's already looking a lot better than this btw but these were the ones that he wanted to put on-line to show you all

This is his most favourite one, if only this was scratch n sniff eh!

Luckily, children mend a lot faster than us oldies so he should be running about and giving us more scares before we know it

Tally

We love you kid but please no more breaks
